AJIR; Aceh Journal of Islamic Research is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published twice a year (January–June and July–December), published by the Seuramoe Research Center in Langsa City. Each edition consists of five scholarly articles covering multiple disciplines in the Acehnese context.

The AJIR Journal publishes manuscripts in both Indonesian and English. However, all published articles must relate to themes related to Aceh or compare Aceh with other conditions and regions. The journal prioritizes collaborative work between faculty and students and welcomes contributions from international researchers.

This journal also places a strong emphasis on novelty, which must be reflected in every manuscript submitted to AJIR. The article evaluation process begins with adherence to the writing template, checking for plagiarism below 25%, and adherence to reviewer instructions.

AJIR's primary goal is to collect narratives and research findings on the body of Islamic studies in Aceh, while simultaneously integrating authors interested in collaborative writing about Aceh. This will allow the unique and essential nature of Islamic studies in Aceh to be explored, developed, and widely recognized.

The scope of scientific articles published in this journal includes issues of Islamic studies in Aceh, comparisons of Islamic studies in Aceh with other regions, as well as Islamic thoughts unique to Aceh.
