The hydrometeorological disaster that struck Aceh Tamiang Regency in late November 2025 demonstrated the complex interaction between natural and structural factors, including deforestation and weak environmental governance. These conditions created significant social and ecological vulnerabilities, necessitating a rapid, precise, and adaptive response. This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of emergency social assistance strategies through the distribution of basic necessities, direct community mentoring, and the utilization of social media, while also assessing the role of community service in raising environmental awareness among affected communities. The method employed is a community-based disaster response approach, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. The results indicate that the combination of material assistance and social mentoring strengthens community resilience during the crisis phase, ensures assistance reaches the intended beneficiaries, and provides psychosocial support for victims. The use of social media proved effective in expanding solidarity networks, facilitating crisis communication, and encouraging participation from both the community and volunteers. Beyond short-term outcomes, the activities foster structural awareness of disaster causes, promote community involvement in risk mitigation, and enhance adaptive capacities. The findings conclude that emergency social assistance strategies integrated with mentoring and social media not only save lives but also contribute to community empowerment and sustainable environmental management.
